The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team returned to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, the scene of yesterday’s San Marino GP, for the one-day 2023 Official Misano MotoGP Test. Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli used today’s two practice sessions (P1 held from 09:00-12:45 and P2 held from 14:00-18:00) to compare various testing items.
The Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing 450 Team/250 Team is already competing in AMA Supercross as the season started on January 7 this year. The team’s 450SX riders are Eli Tomac, who notched Yamaha’s first title since 2009, and 11th place finisher Dylan Ferrandis. Joining them for select rounds will be 2021 250SX West Champion Justin Cooper.
After Round 4, Yamaha and the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team are in fifth place with 44 points in the Constructor championship and sixth position with a 58 points total in the Team championship.
